And that was last month....
So on to what's new...
Not to much. Was going to Quit my job, sell my place, move to kamloops, and go to school for a heavy duty mechanics preapprenticeship program.
told a lot of people that's the plan. And then... decided not to.
I like my job. I live a six year old's dream. Do a lot of work that a six year old never thought of but hey. Learned quickly that not everyone can do my job. Just the physical part even. We were putting up a crane and one of the guys I work with tried to pull up a 60 lbs. hydrolic pump on 3/8" line. which I usually do. He managed to pull it up 39' , then as he kneeled down to grab the handle the rope slid through his hands for aprroximatly 50'. Bouncing off of the crane mast on the way down. We got a rental to finish the job. The boss told him to go to the gym. A week later the repair bill was on the lunchroom desk overtop of a gym advertisment. We laughed. And I probably will have a tower crane operators licence. They don't dont exsist yet in B.C. so when it comes into affect I will get "grandfatherd" in, as I am operating the rt mobile crane in the yard. This according to the PCL safety guy, who also happens to be on the recommendation board. Life is ok.
